Weiß ja nich, wie sehr er mit Inter verbunden war und heutzutage zählt sowas ja leider auch kaum noch was ...

Krul was linked with Milan this week along with Santon in a move which further ramped up the anxiety of a troubling week on Tyneside. However, Pardew insists clubs would be wasting their time making an enquiry about either his goalkeeper or left-back, saying they are not for sale at any point.

Inter hat ihn damals mehr oder weniger vom Hof gejagt, so verbunden wird er deshalb evt. (und hoffentlich für uns) nicht mehr sein :D
Zum Gerücht: Gesprächsbereit sieht anders aus. Die Quelle zeigt ja eine ziemlich eindeutige Absage von Pardew.
Ich persönlich könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass im Sommer Bewegung reinkommen könnte. Wenn Taylor dann wieder fit ist und wenn Haidara überzeugen kann (gehe jetzt mal davon aus, dass er kommt), dann wäre Newcastle doch eigentlich fast überbesetzt.
Zudem scheint es möglich, dass Milan und Abate irgendwann auch getrennte Wege gehen werden (es sei denn er spielt eine super RR) und so einen Santon finanzieren könnten.
Derzeit sehe ich persönlich für einen Wechsel keine Chance, im Sommer könnte es aber wieder spannend werden.

Milan’s interest in Newcastle full-back Davide Santon has cooled, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
Santon, 22, is the kind of promising young player that the Diavolo are now openly targeting on the transfer market.
The Diavolo did make an enquiry for the Italian international in January, but no deal could be done mid-season.
Vice-President Adriano Galliani was expected to renew his club’s interest in the defender at the end of the campaign, but that may not be the case anymore.
Galliani is now looking elsewhere given that he deems Newcastle’s €10m valuation for the former Inter player as excessive.

Nun wird spekuliert, ob Galliani im Sommer einen erneuten Versuch wagen wird oder ob man sich aufgrund der angenommenen 10Mio Euro-Forderung von der Causa Santon trennen wird.
Persönlich könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass im Sommer nochmals Bewegung reinkommt. Wird allerdings wohl davon abhängen, wie sich die Aussenverteidiger bei Milan nächste Saison zusammensetzen. Auf der linken Seite gibt es ausser Constant derzeit noch Antonini und den dauerverletzten Didac. Beide spielen jedoch keine grössere Rolle mehr und es scheint möglich, dass beide Milan verlassen könnten. Dann wäre ein neuer Spieler für die linke Seite eigentlich notwendig und da würde Santon schon sehr gut passen. Freuen würde es mich allemal.
Und wer weiss, nach dem Haidara-Transfer und der Rückkehr von Taylor könnte Newcastles Forderung in Zukunft ja auch noch etwas runtergehen?

Allerdings kann ich mir gut vorstellen, dass sowohl Antonini als auch Didac im Sommer das Weite suchen werden. Damit hätte man dann vier Aussenverteidiger: Abatae, Zaccardo, Constant und de Sciglio. Eventuell noch Bonera zur Not.
Einen Rechtsfuss, wie de Sciglio auf links "umzuschulen" sehe ich etwas kritisch. Sicherlich möglich aber ich weiss nicht so recht. Constant ist für mich auf Dauer auch keine Optimallösung. Dafür ist er mir letztlich zu limitiert, um erhöhten Ansprüchen zu genügen.
Meines Erachtens herrscht auf der Position zwar kein unbedingter Bedarf, doch wenn man die Chance hat, einen wie Santon verhältnismässig günstig zu verpflichten, dann muss man das mMn eigentlich tun.

The 22-year-old full-back, who joined the Magpies from Inter Milan in 2011, is enjoying his best season to date on Tyneside, and Milan have made note of his rising stock.
According to reports in Italy, the Rossoneri see him as a long-term replacement for rampaging right-back Ignazio Abate – a target for Zenit St Petersburg – and will make their move at the end of the season.
Santon was targeted by Milan during the January transfer window, but opted to stay put given that he and his family are now settled in Newcastle, but a return to Italy with a top club like Milan would be difficult to turn down.
The 22-year-old fits Massimiliano Allegri’s new youth orientated philosophy, and it’s thought that Milan could offer up to £6million to get him out of St James’ Park.

Davide Santon has admitted that he would consider leaving Newcastle for a move to the Rossoneri.
The left back position has been a problem for the Rossoneri ever since Paolo Maldini retired but this season it seems that Milan have found solid solutions as both Kevin Constant and Mattia De Sciglio have impressed so far in this position.
There were rumours in January that Milan could sell Ignazio Abate to Zenit and invest the money in Davide Santon of Newcastle but that never happened as Zenit and Milan couldn’t reach a deal. Santon says he’d welcome a Milan move
“I’ve heard of the interest from Milan in me and that is really pleasing. I’m really happy in Newcastle. I like the city, the club and the atmosphere. I’m also engaged to Chloe and we’re expecting a baby in May,” the 22-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport today. “I live like a king in Newcastle and I have a contract until 2016. But that doesn’t mean that I’ll stay here.
“I’m not sure what would happen if another Italian club came in for me, but I’d seriously think about packing my bags for Milan. I owe Inter a lot. I was happy there, but it is not my fault that I was born as a Milanista… If Balotelli and I are still friends? Well, when paths diverge the contact is a bit lost but we were friends of course. In England we talked every now and then and in the national team we immediately found a common understanding. I’m happy for him, I see him more calm.
“Balotelli is more mature now. The decision to return was an excellent one for him. The fact that I can go back to playing with Mario (at Milan) would be an extra incentive. Otherwise we’ll challenge each other as opponents,” added the Italian fullback.

Ich würde es schon begrüßen, wenn er zu uns wechseln sollte. Allerdings müssen dann auch die Konditionen passen. Klar müsste man dann Antonini und Vila loswerden. Allerdings wären mit diesen beiden auch einige Ressourcen wieder frei mit denen man sicherlich einen großen Teil von Santon abdecken könnte! Und mit Abate, De Sciglio, Santon und auch Constant hätte man für viele Jahre ausgesorgt.
Allerdings finde ich es zur Zeit wichtiger einen guten IV vll. 2 zu verpflichten! (kommt auf Zapata an) Und einen ZM der Montolivo auch mal ein wenig entlasten kann!
