Im Moment aber gilt: Salah trainiert wie alle anderen FCB-Profis ab heute zweimal täglich im Marbella Football Center. Und es sieht so aus, als ob er auch dabei sein wird, wenn die Basler dort am Samstag gegen Feyenoord Rotterdam um 15 Uhr ihr erstes Testspiel dieses Kalenderjahres bestreiten.

ZENIT ST PETERSBURG could be set to shatter Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham's hopes of signing Basel winger Mohamed Salah by offering twice as much as any English club for the Egyptian international.
Reports suggest that Salah is on the brink of joining Liverpool, having decided to join the Reds ahead of United or Spurs.

But Salah's agent Sascha Empacher has stressed that Liverpool are yet to reach a deal with Basel.
Empacher said: "Talks with Liverpool are ongoing. They want him. But they need agreement with Basel."
And Zenit have spied an opportunity to nip in and take the player to Russia instead of Merseyside.

Reports in Russia suggest that Zenit have offered to double the offer currently on the table from Liverpool and United.

Worryingly for Liverpool Basel have a history of selling to the highest bidder, irrespective of the wishes of the player or the profile of the club concerned.

Last summer both Arsenal and Inter Milan were in negotiations over a £5m deal for Austrian defender Alexander Dragovic only for Dinamo Kiev to offer £7.5m to take the player to Ukraine.

The only saving grace from Liverpool's perspective is that Zenit retain some concerns about bringing in a player who is already cup tied in the Champions League following his impressive displays in the competition, including against Chelsea, earlier this season.

According to the Sun on Sunday the Egyptian has told friends he wants to join Liverpool.

After the failed move for Ryan Bertrand, who joined Aston Villa on Friday, the 21-year-old has apparently emerged as Rodgers' top January target.

The paper suggest his club, FC Basel, are demanding £16m for their man with managing director Ian Ayre working on the move.

Spurs have also been credited with an interest but the Reds are now the front runners for his signature.

Nun scheinen die Engländer ernst zu machen: Der Liverpool-Reporter der seriösen englischen Zeitung «The Telegraph» schreibt in seinem Artikel, dass noch diese Woche ein offizielles Angebot von der Anfield Road ans Rheinknie geschickt wird. Inhalt: 18 Millionen für Mohamed Salah.

Sollte diese Summe zutreffen, dann könnte die FCB-Verantwortlichen kaum «No» sagen. Salah wäre der teuerste je vom FCB verkaufte Spieler. Die Wertsteigerung des Ägypters wäre enorm: Vor eineinhalb Jahren überwies Rot-Blau rund 2 Millionen Franken an Salahs Jugendklub Arab Contractors. Klappt der 18-Millionen-Deal mit Liverpool tatsächlich, dann schlüge der FCB einen Profit von 900 Prozent (!) heraus.
